Our multifaceted Board of Directors represents seven founding clubs and two community advocates. Everyone is an unpaid volunteer.

I was born and raised in Spain. I moved to Boulder in 1999 and I've lived here ever since. I love Boulder's active lifestyle, regard for health, and passion for sports.
I currently work at Auddia, a local tech company, as Director of Engineering. I have two daughters, both born in Boulder, and avid swimmers. For many years my favorite sports were soccer, cycling, and running, but took on swimming later in life so I can swim with my daughters. I wish I had started much sooner.
I joined the BCAC board because I want to help current and future generations in Boulder enjoy inclusive and affordable access to aquatics resources at the level this vibrant and athletic community deserves.
Vicepresident
I’ve spent the last 25 years immersed in the world of swimming. As a longtime athlete agent, I’ve had the privilege of representing world champion swimmers, Olympic and Paralympic medalists, and some of the most inspiring athletes in endurance sports. I’ve always appreciated the tradition and spirit of the Olympic movement, and I enjoy the art of building successful brand partnerships, and negotiating meaningful sponsorships.
Swimming has given so much to me personally and professionally. I’m grateful to be part of the masters swimming community here in Boulder - a group that keeps me physically active, mentally grounded, and socially connected. As a parent, I’ve had the joy of watching my two kids discover their own love for the water through their experience with the Riptide Swim Team.
I’m so excited to be part of the Boulder Community Aquatics Coalition, where I have the opportunity to contribute my sports marketing experience to help bring a new aquatic facility to life in Boulder. It’s inspiring to be aligned with a group of passionate, innovative community members who share a vision for a state-of-the-art pool that offers aquatic fitness and wellness to everyone - from young kids just learning to swim, to seniors, to competitive club teams, to masters athletes, and hopefully, the next generation of Olympic swimmers.

Greg Tucker, a retired biopharma executive, is a Community Swim Advocate. He has been active in the Boulder swim community for three decades. A parent of two former Boulder Valley Summer Swim League swimmers, he is passionate about all levels of swimming from rec league to international elites. He is a long-time swim coach in the Boulder Valley School District, securing state championships in two divisions and for both boys and girls teams. Greg directs his current activities to ensuring premier aquatics facilities and services in the Boulder community.
He first became involved in community aquatics issues in 2015 and has seen several attempts fail to build an aquatics facility. He hopes to combine his community aquatics knowledge with his executive skills in planning and leadership to help BCAC build a best-in-class aquatics facility in Boulder.
Greg is also member of the Leadership Group for the Reimagine South Boulder Recreation Center advocacy group and is a Board Member at PLAY Boulder Foundation, the nonprofit foundation for Boulder Parks and Recreation.
Greg has lived in Boulder for almost 35 years and enjoys the many opportunities provided by Boulder Parks and Recreation. He is also an avid adventure hiker with his wife, a coffee enthusiast and has recently embarked on the study of the black experience in America and Africa.

I started swimming for a local club in Wales when I was about 10, but surfed far too much for most of my youth. I started back in the pool when I got to Boulder 25 years ago. I joined the Boulder Aquatics Masters (BAM) board to more formally help the club grow and thrive as a fantastic resource for the local community.
Being part of the Boulder Community Aquatics Coalition means I can work with team like-minded, passionate local swim clubs and community members to help design and build a world class aquatics facility right here on our doorstep.

Swimming has long been a love of mine, whether in a pool, ocean, or lake. It has supported my physical and mental health. I started swimming at age two - I was literally tossed into the neighborhood pool in Northern California where I grew up. I swam on the summer league swim team as a child, then returned to swimming after college and still swim with Masters in Boulder today as well as cheer for my kids at MESA, a Boulder Valley Swim Team, swim meets. As a parent of swimmers and Social Coordinator on the MESA swim team board, I can see the benefits of swimming for building confidence in kids, creating supportive social networks, and supporting both mental and physical well being.
I’ve spent close to 20 years as a public school teacher in Colorado and bring innovation, organizational skills and experience building relationships with families and kids to BCAC. I am excited to work with this group of people dedicated to bringing a high-quality aquatic facility to the Boulder swim community.

I have treasured the community, health, teamwork and individual growth I have gained from swimming and other water sports since I was a six year old begging my parents to let me join the local swim team in Dallas, TX. I swam competitively from age 6 to 17, though I pursued other water and water-related sports in college, rowing crew and playing water polo. After college, I knew I could always rely on the pool as a place to meet new people wherever I lived in the world. When I moved to Colorado in 2001, I began swimming with the master's team in Boulder and have swum with them more or less regularly since then. Once I had kids, I got them in the North Boulder Rec. kids pool as fast as I could, and they now pursue artistic swimming (f/k/a synchronized swimming) and water polo.
Outside of the pool, I'm a local government attorney who has been on a number of nonprofit boards, including the Boulder Aquatic Masters, Womens' Wilderness, and now BCAC. I look forward to helping BCAC bring a state of the art aquatic facility to the Boulder area to support the growth of an aquatic culture.

I’m Sierra Standish, a recreational swimmer, long-time Boulder resident, and graduate student at CU. I frequently take our three kids to the city’s network of pools—pool time is a critical part of our year-round activity. Our youngest child is a swimmer with 5280 Synchro, a small but mighty artistic swimming team based in Boulder.
I look forward to working with BCAC on a facility that will meet current needs and introduce exciting new aquatics opportunities to our city.
